| Using google drawing my group and I made this DLO about choosing a new flag. morning my class did 4,3,2,1 the way this works is we got 4 minutes to read the information about all of the five chosen flags, then we had three minutes to find a partner and talk about the flags we like, and give them a reason why, when we did that the we had two minutes to talk with a different partner about the one flag we like and 1 minute to get into a group of four explain to each other why we liked that one flag and give me a reason. Out of the 5 flags the one I like best is the silver fern (black, white and blue) the reason why is because I can see my culture shown in the flag and because I think the flag will good shown around the world and it is easy to be recognise as a NZ flag because of the fern. |
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge Primary School and Glenbrae Primary School, through to Tamaki College.

Don’t be scared to come up and ask for extra help?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions?
Can you explain your thinking ?
Do you know what that is.
Do you get what I mean?
What strategy should I use?
Can you say it in a easier way so I can understand?
Can you help me?
Do you want be to explain in more detail?
Does this make sense to you?
Do you need help?
What strategy should I use?
Are there any maths game to help me?
Is there a website we can practice on?
Is there a different way to solve this?
Does this strategy work for me ?
Is this strategy work with bigger numbers?
Do you understand now?
Can you show me an example.
What is the best strategy to use to find the answer to this question?
Does this strategy work for me.
Can you break the strategy down for me?
How did you use your strategy?

Working with a critical friend
Today room 6 and room 5 worked together collaboratively on our writing we had to get into pairs, someone from room 5 and someone from room 6. We worked on one partners writing test from term 4 and help them fixed there mistakes that the critical friend could see. We also looked at a rubric that tells us what we have to do to to the next level. The rubric help me by telling me what I could do to get higher marks and also realized my mistakes. My critical friend help me by showing me my mistakes and giving me feedback.

Simple machine - Screw:
This is my group reading activity to do this ,I worked with June, Afu, and Juanita we have created using google slides, the purpose of making this is so we understand what simple machines are and how they were used in the past. MY favorite fact was the screws were being using in the past for flower pressing and getting the extract from olive oil and juice from grapes.
